Funeral Ceremonies in Sheffield & Beyond
Conducting my first funeral service made me realise how wonderful it is to help families celebrate a loved one’s life.
Cherished moments shared
Contrary to many peoples’ views a funeral can be a time to laugh at cherished moments as well as reflect on the pain and grief of losing them.
As your celebrant I will work closely with the funeral director to conduct a service which can be non-religious, semi-religious or spiritual. As with any service or ceremony I write it will be unique and personal to that person. The service should be a ‘celebration of life’ that honours the person’s memory.
This approach places greater emphasis on how the person lived their life, their personality traits and the memories of mourners.
As part of my fee I will meet with you (usually approximately two hours) to listen to your memories and stories and help with suggestions for readings and poems if required. Following our meeting I will write the service, which you will have the opportunity to read and make changes or add to. I will then deliver the service.
If you are looking to create ceremonies of substance and meaning that will reflect what you as a family want to say, then I am the celebrant for you.
Fee: From £225
"Our day was perfect."
Helen took the time to visit us in our home and meet with Isla to make sure she was completely relaxed before her 'big day', taking the time to listen to our anecdotes, memories and pass a tissue when I cried (and I did that a few times!). The result was a perfect..... I was going to say 'script' but it was so much more than that. It was a story about the journey of our lives together as a family and how both our daughters have made that so wonderfully complete. It was a celebration of our wonderful, constantly hungry, whirlwind of a fabulous daughter!

"You made it."
Thank you so much for making our day so special. You made us feel relaxed and more at ease, you are such a lovely person and we couldn’t of found anyone who could of done it better than you.

"everything we'd hoped and more."
We just wanted to say an enormous THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts. Our ceremony was everything we'd hoped and more. It means a lot that you came all the way down from Yorkshire! Everyone said how fabulous you were. The whole day was perfect and that was kicked off with your wonderful words.
With love, Amy & Mitch
